Aircraft modelling - after market parts

Discussion started by rtbray74

Hey all,

So I’m dipping my toe into the 3D printing world. My hobby is making aircraft models, generally military and to either a 1:48 scale or 1:32. There is a large after-market cast resin parts market to add some really striking realism to the finished kits. For example, the exhaust ‘cans’ on a F-15 fighter are really complex and can be modelled to a high degree of accuracy by purchasing an after market part. Same is true of landing gear, cockpits etc.

The images above are cast resin examples of what I really want to be able to print at home.

Is there anyone on the forums who might know where I can find this type of stuff to download? I’ve searched the regular sites and it seems that if I want to make pretty much anything from Star Wars, there’s loads of choice, but I’m coming up with precisely nothing when looking to get more specific detailed parts.
I’ve seen some of the, frankly, amazing things people are producing now. Surely this is possible...right?
Any help or guidance gratefully received.
Thanks

If I understand you correctly (I apologize if I misunderstood you, i can't see images) your question is, is there a place to download 3d printable model of PW F100 engine exhaust nozzle (example), the answer is no.

I forgot to mention, 3d printable model that is suitable for 3d printing resin part. I personally know peoples who are doing this, resin part bussines is far from what it looks like, a lot of effort and money is needed to get to a certain level where this become profitable in general.
