Thank you for the message, we appreciate your concern and hard work. Extending the deadline was a last day decision taken because of several reasons.
We are still working a lot on the first Designer Schwag challenge's models. Decision of postponing deadline benefits both sides, since not only we get our teams a little bit more time. At the time of deadline there were some designers in the Sports & Hobbies challenge who hadn't received feedback on any of their models. In the case of disapproval, we wanted to give them more time to upload new assets, thus creating an opportunity to compete for the prize in the Best Portfolio category, where the count of good submissions is important.
We also have new challenges coming up. Since we don't want to have too large of gaps between challenges, giving a chance to still participate in this one before the new one is announced sounds reasonable.
We understand there are designers who might have strongly worked the last minute before deadline and pushed all of their efforts to get the submissions done. We sincerely appreciate your work and want to apologize for any inconveniences.
