Microsoft challenge?

Hi!

I saw an entry in the blog with the winners announcement but it has been removed.
This was the page:

(PD: I'm trying to avoid to give my opinion about how a test model for a 3d printer should be...)

Yeah well... I've honestly questioned a lot of CGT choices on winners for contests. Part of why I've basically closed up shop and moved over to turbo squid.

I'm by no means a sore loser but I do questions a lot of the winners. I've seen some great stuff passed up in a lot of contests now. Most of these things wouldn't fly in a production environment but again, that's why I've packed up and moved. I just don't think CGT is meant for industry artists like myself.

I don't want to make light fixtures forever or make whatever is going to sell best here because I'd be making chairs my whole life.

Polycount and Artstation for me it is. I'd just rather refine my craft than try and figure out what it is the judges look for here. It's just not how you improve and I'm more interested in that than selling a model or two.

Thank you for your feedback! I've seen that you have some great ideas, and we do feel our community can help us become better with time! The Microsoft challenge winners announcement has been delayed, because we are waiting for Microsoft to post the interview with the challenge winners. We do hope to solve this issue within a week.
The challenge ideas are also truly noted. We have been talking about making the challenge criteria more clear and strict and there was also an idea for CGTrader users to vote on contestant models to pick out the winners from their perspective, so that the artists could also be more involved in deciding the winners and having a greater impact on our community.
