Has anyone had any luck in the Jobs section?

Discussion started by luke113

Has anyone had any luck in the jobs section? I have been submitting applications but I never hear back. There seems to be alot of competition as well. Usually jobs get at least 20 applicants. Even projects with a $100 budget could receive up to 70+ applicants.

The money offered are usually on the low end as well. Someone may post a character modeling job with a $50 budget. I know its just a ballpark amount and price can be negotiated later. But it generally seems like people aren't willing to pay much for the amount of work involved.

I think you've brought up a lot of important points that a lot of people complain about.
High expectation from customer for low pay and plenty of applicants. It doesn't seem like a great way to make money.

I think I have been selected for 1 or 2 jobs? in recent years... It is not usually interesting either, they offer very little money and some demand a titanic job...

The vast majority of the projects for which I have been hired contacted me directly, I suppose because my profile fits what they are looking for.

So the only advice I can give you is to have a defined profile that attracts the type of client you want.

That is probably the best advice here, ever.

Look! Some people are posting jobs for fun only. For example, I saw a man paying $9999 for a 3d website. I also posted proposals but failed. Some people are serious about jobs.

Maybe stop sending spam on all topics? Or do you want your account to be banned? Well in that case of course you can continue.

Hi, I'm just trying to meet some new friends here by engaging a little bit with the community on the forums. I'm a brand new user here, I just joined two days ago, and this place was suggested to me as a website where I could to find work with 3d modelling in blender and unity. I suppose I could have said it a bit better. Most around here seem pretty helpful and inviting and I appreciate that alot. Slinging threats of banning me when I'm just looking at the availability of work prospects is pretty harsh buddy. I know we can't all get along all the time, but if its working for ya, you keep doing you jaguar. :^D

For example these https://www.cgtrader.com/egemen20, https://www.cgtrader.com/emirkaya users were also just newbies who were just engaging a little bit with the community. They really liked to write comments like wow, cool, good job, i like this, etc. As a result both accounts were banned. Just take note.

You haven't said anything wrong mate. You are welcome here. perhaps jaguarbeastproduction could have tried being less rude. Respecting community guidelines while being active on the platform won't get you banned ;)

Of course we are happy but starting your creative journey on CGTrader with uploading cubes is a bad idea.
