I also want to know that.
Hi everyone,
I’m new to CGTrader and I’ve been learning 3D modeling on my own (self-taught). I’ve uploaded a few models, and while the geometry and technical parts are solid (no issues inside the models), I struggle with creating high-quality renders.
Because of that, my models get very few views and almost no sales. I understand that presentation is important, but since I’m still improving my rendering skills, I feel stuck.
My questions are:
How can I attract buyers even if my renders aren’t very impressive yet?
Is there any way to show the wireframe or model quality in a way that builds trust?
Do buyers actually download models just by judging the renders, or do they look deeper?
Any tips for boosting visibility and trust as a beginner?
Any advice or feedback would be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

You have very simple materials.
Up level with Substance or Marmoset/CC0 materials/Blender addons, etc, optional.
Also add more variation to folds.
Renders are very important to selling your models. It's like good advertising for any other products. Even if your model is a perfect topology and great materials, if your preview renders don't illustrate those facts, then potential buyers aren't as likely to take a chance on your product compared to a competitor who may have better preview renders. Preview renders are your commercials for your products. So yes, buyers actually do pick your models based on your renders. So if you can't get a good render of your models because the materials aren't good, or the model itself doesn't hold up under HDR lighting or whatever, then it's going to be harder to convince someone to purchase compared to someone who has impressive preview renders.
