You hardly can expect an objective answer here - CGT team would always like to have you here, while most sellers would wish that you'd stay where you are ;] It's really up to you to decide wether it's worth to risk leaving the guild or not. From what i've read lately, it's ain't no sunshine over there :]

My experience trying TS
1. I signed in
2. I read the terms and conditions
3. I got out of there and never looked back.

Going exclusive is always bad.
It generates an environment that has no need to evolve or change anything and then in the end all those exclusives are sitting there stuck in a badly outdated system.

I’m glad I never did go exclusive on Ts and was able to support better alternatives like CGtrader wish is a fresh new idea and a place that is up to date.

Bottom line I’m also having more sales here and keep a bigger part of it.

The 60% cut on Ts has always motivated me to keep my eye open to better places and finally I got what I wanted.

Hi, I am also thinking about leaving TS exclusivity.
I have 22 products at this time and here is list of my sales from current year 2017 on TS:

month number_of_sales
august 0
july 4
june 1
may 1
march 2
feb 2
jan 1

So I have 1-2 sales per month in average, but I expect better numbers in autumn. I have calculated if I got here on CGT 1 sale per 2 months it would be benefitial for me to begin selling on CGT.

My question is: is it real to expect to get at least 1 sale per 2 months here?

I have been selling here on CGT 2 years ago and I must say that I like recent improvements of CGT so I could give CGT the 2nd chance.
Thanks for any opinion.

With statistics like these i see no reason to be exclusive no matter what. Wether you'd manage to achieve your set goals in CGT it really depends on how good your models are and in what category they're in. It's hard to expect great sales from overcrowded and underpriced furniture category, but if you have some good quality game assets, or characters, or animals, cars etc then you can expect some 3-5 sales per month and more. Usually if you not doing great on TS, you can't expect to excell on other markets, although i constantly make 1,5 - 2 times more sales here than on TS and royalties are much much better on CGT :] In other words, if you're not diamond seller and if your collection isn't full of top quality $200-500 worth models, then being in guild you simply are waisting opportunity to get more money from selling models :]

LemonadeCG: thanks for your replay and sharing your selling experience. It's really great that you sell 1.5-2 times more here. And you are probably right that selling exclusively gives no sense in my situation. And you corectly deducated that I am not diamond.
Otherwise my main specialization is vehicles (especially trains) so this is not so saturated category like furniture or architecture. So probably I will decide to begin selling here again. Have a nice day and happy selling. :-)

I get hundreds of dollars per year from ts.
Here i got $160.03 to be paid before 20th this month.
Not getting payed anymore because i refuse to attach any photos of ANY documents that prove my identity.
New policy made payments stuck to CG forever :) And i thought TS was bad.
At least TS pays you.

In my opinion, it's too difficult to upload products to TurboSquid since they continue to use a Flash-based uploader even though both Firefox and Chrome have disabled Flash as a security risk.
When I use Chrome to try to upload products, I get a message saying Flash is disabled, but I can still upload 1 file at a time. This makes it very tedious to upload 10 sales images!

Yet CGTrader has a drag-and-drop uploader to quickly upload both the product file and 10-15 sales files.

So if I can't upload my product files to a site, why should I bother selling there?

Thats the main issue why i dont want to give any personal information to CG. While TS does everything it can to insure your security (sacrificing convenience to some) CG demands photos of your ID cards, or ELSE you wont get your money. :)

@tonyf, CGt is playing it save (sacrificing convenience to some) and complies to all government regulations, avoiding potentially big problems that would harm the platform and the community. You can view it positive, having identity needed here makes it a bit harder for people to avoid accountability, for example in getting away with committing fraud. Bytheways, Ts is not all that secure, never fallen victim to fraud over here, but did so 4 times on Ts so far. Also just like all other major websites Ts is not completely immune to hacking, last time hack was so big we all needed to change passwords as accounts where compromised. Last but not least, we do get our money here and mush mush bigger part then on Ts.

TS is an American company, and CGT is a European one, that means they have to comply with Europeans laws and I can tell you they are more restricted with taxes and VAT numbers than you can believe.
